Job Description:
Clean Harbors seeks a dedicated Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic to
join our team, focusing on the maintenance and repair of heavy-duty
diesel vehicles in accordance with environmental, safety, and
sustainability standards. This role is critical in ensuring the
operational efficiency of our fleet involved in environmental and
industrial services across North America. The ideal candidate will
bring a strong technical knowledge of diesel engines and experience
in diagnostics and repairs, aligned with our commitment to
protecting the environment and ensuring the highest safety
standards. Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on
heavy-duty diesel vehicles to ensure operational efficiency. Adhere
to all environmental, health, and safety guidelines during repair
and maintenance tasks. Manage inventory of parts and supplies;
requisition new parts as needed. Complete detailed service reports
for maintenance and repairs carried out. Collaborate with the fleet
management team to schedule regular vehicle inspections and
maintenance. Train and mentor junior mechanics and support staff to
enhance team performance and knowledge. In-depth knowledge of
diesel engine components and systems. Strong diagnostic and
problem-solving skills. Proficiency in using tools and equipment
required for heavy-duty vehicle maintenance and repair. Ability to
adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a safe working
