Job Description Job Description Job Title: HVAC Technician Job Description We are seeking a skilled and dependable commercial HVAC technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing HVAC systems on a variety of commercial projects and the ability to work independently while maintaining high safety and quality standards. Responsibilities Install heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems on commercial projects including retail spaces, hospitals, multi-unit residential buildings, wood-framed structures, and industrial facilities. Read and interpret installation plans, specifications, and blueprints. Perform installations independently and efficiently while meeting project timelines. Ensure all work complies with OSHA standards, company safety policies, and industry best practices. Use hand and power tools safely and effectively. Measure, cut, and assemble materials with accuracy, including proficient use of a tape measure. Communicate effectively with supervisors, contractors, and team members. Maintain a clean and organized job site. Work overtime as needed to meet project deadlines. Essential Skills 1 year of experience in commercial or residential HVAC installation. Proven ability to work independently on commercial install projects. Solid understanding of OSHA safety standards and safe work practices. Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately. Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail. Willingness and availability to work overtime when required. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with a range of commercial building types and mechanical systems. Familiarity with building codes and mechanical installation standards. Certification or formal HVAC training (not required but a plus). Why Work Here? Work Environment Work is conducted on a variety of commercial projects, from large buildings such as supermarkets, shopping malls, and schools, to smaller commercial retail stores. Be prepared to work in environments that can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. The standard shift is Monday to Friday, with potential overtime during the week and on Saturdays, ranging from 5-15 hours per week. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of East Syracuse, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
