As the Speech/Language Therapist you will Provide individual or group therapy to students with speech, voice, or language disorders to improve their language skills and academic performance. As the Speech/Language Therapist your day will include: -Planning and providing appropriate individual and group therapy to students consistent with speech/language goals contained in students’ Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and Behavior Implementation Plan -Providing therapy services in the areas of speech, voice, or language disorders in individual and group setting -Collaborating with other disciplines to ensure team understanding of student performance strengths and needs, through evaluation, educational program planning and service delivery -Evaluating the student’s ability and formulates the student’s IEP goals through a variety of functional, behavioral, and standardized assessments, skilled observation, histories, and interviews -Compiling evaluation results into a comprehensive written report which reflects strengths and barriers to student participation in the educational plan -Participating in multidisciplinary meetings to review evaluation results, integrates findings with other disciplines, offer recommendations, and develop individual education plans and intervention plans to achieve IEP goals. -Monitoring and reassess the effects of speech therapy interventions and the need to continue, modify, or discontinue intervention -Responding calmly and objectively in situations involving students with extreme/sustained behaviors -All other duties as assigned Qualifications for the role: -Graduate from an accredited speech language pathology program, Current license by the New York State Education Department -Dynamic therapeutic presence required -Knowledge of multicultural development -Maintain discipline and control disruptive student behavior -Valid driver license preferred Competitive Pay starting from $39 - $42/hr ($54,600 - $58,800 *10 month salary based on 35 hours a week) Shift: Monday through Friday 7:35 AM – 2:35 PM Some of the many benefits of working for the Stanley G Falk School: -Paid holidays & school breaks -Sick & Personal Time -Health, dental and vision Insurance, with plan options -Employer paid life insurance -Health savings account with agency contributions quarterly -Supplemental insurance: short-term disability, long-term disability -Paid professional development -Employee referral program -403b with 4% contribution -Work with an outstanding, supportive team! -Annual wage increases, with average increases ranging from 2-9% -Federal Student Loan Forgiveness Stanley G Falk is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
