Volt is immediately hiring for a Manufacturing Engineer -- Rochester, NY 14610

As a Manufacturing Engineer , you will:
Support assembly processes (improvements, general troubleshooting, and corrective actions) for new and existing products including in our configuration and shipping department:
-Electro/mechanical support of manufacturing systems, processes, and equipment, including automation & PLCs
-Fixture/ tooling design support using 3D modeling software
-Preventative maintenance and process ready
-Create and maintain process details and standardized work instructions
-Communicate with Engineers and Operators to identify and implement process improvements
-Make recommendations for tooling and process requirements for new or existing product lines
-Work with Engineers to implement and analyze manufacturing engineering plans and projects
-Support production validation builds on new processes.
-Interface with vendor and subcontractor representatives.
-Work with Operations using Lean Manufacturing Principles to establish efficient process flows
-Establish root cause and corrective actions using Six Sigma Principles and tools


This is a 6-12-months full time contract with possible extensions opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:
3 years of experience installing radio and/or networking equipment in the field or lab environment
5 years of experience with 2 of the following technical areas
Basic RF concepts, RF Microwave radios/hardware, and waveguide
Telco (Analog/T1) lines
Networking (Protocols, Routing, Subnetting, etc.)
Field work installation experience with
Racked equipment installations
Building and running network and RF cables internal and external to buildings.


Pay Range: $40.00-$45.00 per hour.

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
