Job Description:
The Lead Critical Facility Technician ensures the smooth,
efficient, profitable operation of the assigned building project by
ensuring the timely and accurate completion of all required work
and by attaining the utmost in customer satisfaction. Pay: $45.00-
$55.00/ per hour. The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for ensuring that
all electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within
the data center is operating at peak efficiency. This involves both
planned preventative maintenance of equipment, daily corrective
work, and emergency response to emergent issues. They are expected
to be a singular focal point for all facility operations within a
given data center and to support operated data centers. Data center
equipment that supports mission-critical servers must maintain
better than 99.999% uptime. Ensure that all work performed within
mission critical space is done to high quality and without impact
to internal/external customers. Ability to transfer knowledge and
train other technicians. Utilizes safe working practices; can apply
lockout/tagout, SDS, applies good housekeeping methods, etc.
Ability to type and utilize common administrative and office
software. Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams,
blueprints, floor plans, construction documents, safety
requirements, OEM operating and maintenance instructions, job
specifications, and MOP's. Must be able to troubleshoot advanced
electrical circuits. Ability to use hand tools and test equipment
to install, troubleshoot, and repair new or replacement parts for
existing units covered under CET3 classified procedures, according
to specifications and established safety guidelines, relying on
MOPs, manufacturer’s literature, and industry best practices to
perform tasks under supervision, and ensures activities are logged
in CMMS. When necessary, perform daily walk-through of facility
documenting parameters such as power availability, temperature and
humidity, alarm status, etc. to be catalogued and compared for
identification of discrepancies and trends. Monitor and make
necessary changes to site BAS, following site MOP's & SOP's.
Capable of implementing all site-specific processes and procedures
such as procedure creation and review standards, procedure
instructions and templates, reporting an incident or outage,
procedure execution, PM standards, CMMS standards and policy, work
order and notification, as well as the use of SharePoint to access
CE procedures and training content. Understand the sequence of
operations, how a failure of a piece of critical equipment impact
other systems, and have a holistic view of the critical environment
infrastructure and ability to comprehend the effect of any actions
on a piece of critical equipment or systems, including: MV/LV
Distribution Boards, MV/LV Breakers, UPS, Generator, Batteries,
STS, ATS, AHU, DX units, Chillers, Evap Washer Systems, CRAC Units,
Fuel Systems, ASCO Systems, BMS System, EPMS System, and Fire Alarm
System. Understand how to action all site primary and secondary
EOP's, focusing on mastering the operator role during an emergency
response. Capable of leading drills associated with the site
primary and secondary EOP's. Organize safe maintenance principles
for regulating and scheduling planned and unplanned activities, as
well as establish and meet deadlines for work/projects. Interprets
building codes and local and federal regulations as they relate to
installations and applies them as required by the site. Maintain
maintenance records as required by City, State, and EPA
regulations. Requires meeting all requirements of CET-2 Coordinate
and oversee all critical environment vendors during maintenance,
emergency, and break/fix events to ensure personnel safety and
maintain power to the critical load. Perform periodic technical and
quality reviews of all MOPs and SOPs to ensure that the most
“up-to-date” techniques and safety guidelines are utilized. Collect
and generate internal and vendor field service reports describing
all activities (preventive maintenance, repairs, etc.) performed at
the facility; reviews all reports prior to submission to end user.
Render assistance in administration and regulation of the duties of
CET1/2. Conduct training with CET1/2 and other staff personnel on
electrical equipment/system for maintenance, repairs and operation.
Understands and has mastered all types of mechanical and electrical
systems and how each component within the system operates in
conjunction with the other components and how that impacts the
overall operations of the system as a whole. Provides technical
expertise and assistance. Operates site facility equipment and
systems without error to obtain maximum availability. Provides
suggestions for continuous improvements in the areas of process
improvement and cost reduction savings. Coordinate maintenance with
outside vendors and oversee vendor maintenance. Respond to
emergency situations and customer concerns. Ensure strict adherence
to critical facility work rule and safety procedures. Works
overtime as assigned and required. Familiar with all applicable
Federal, State, and local rules, codes, and regulations. Interact
effectively with internal and external customers. Other duties as
assigned by Management. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION AND EQUIVALENT
EXPERIENCE Eight (8) - ten (10) years of experience supporting
mission critical environments with a high school diploma or GED
Current electrical/mechanical Journeyman’s license preferred. Hands
on electrical or mechanical skill, and competence in the area of
non-expertise (for example, electrical expertise with a mechanical
competence, or vice-versa) Have an active US Government Top Secret
Security/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) with a Full
Scope Polygraph (FSP) Operate and perform both routine and
emergency service on a variety of state-of-the-art critical
systems. Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
Mechanical and/or electrical OEM factory specific training or
experience preferred. Knowledge and experience using basic computer
applications. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS While
performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly
required to sit at times; frequently use hands to handle or feel;
frequently reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. Standing
and walking is required 90% of the time. Must be able to turn and
twist torso and frequently climb and descend ladders and stairs.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The
employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Typical office conditions, plus constant visits throughout the
building and rooftop, where the individual is around equipment and
dust, moving through confined spaces, and in extremes of heat and
cold. Position may require travel to other locations for public
