Job Description:

Position Summary:The Quality Manager position is responsible for managing the day to day inspection process, customer or Mersen required quality functions, and strategic improvement. Manages the flow of orders through in process and final inspection. Coordinates quality processes such as FAI's, PPAP's, and RMA's. Manages all compliance programs for the site.Main Responsibilities:

  • Direct the daily activities of the inspection team
  • Work closely with key site leaders to manage work order priorities throughout the flow to ensure on time delivery and revenue attainment
  • Review & approve the completion of FAI's, PPAP's, contract review and other quality services / processes
  • Manage RMA process
  • Engage with customers regarding quality issues and improvements
  • Lead the site's quality management system and compliance programs such as AS9100 including internal audits
  • Actively participate on the site management team and help to set site strategy
  • Coach and develop team members skills and performance
  • Liaison with other departments such as Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, Sales, etc. in order to effectively identify and resolve issues.
  • Identify and implement process improvements on an on-going basis
  • Strive to meet and exceed site objectives for delivery, quality, safety, and cost
  • Drive site wide quality improvement and lead the monthly quality management review
  • Coordinate the supplier quality program ensuring metrics, scoring, and reports are completed accurately and sent out in a timely manner. Work with suppliers to improve their performance
    • Has the ability to stop the manufacturing process if a problem is detectedRequested Knowledge, Competencies and Abilities:
      • Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, technical field, or equivalent experience
      • Knowledge of measurement equipment & calibration requirements
      • Lean green belt or black belt a plus
      • GD&T experience
      • Self-motivated and highly organized
      • Strong leadership skills
