As the Housekeeping Director in Fairport, NY, you play a crucial role in ensuring the exceptional cleanliness and service quality that sets our hotels apart.



Your responsibilities will include:



--- Overseeing all aspects of the Housekeeping Department to guarantee top-notch guest satisfaction, high staff morale, and operational excellence. Your leadership will create an environment where a diverse team can excel and deliver outstanding results.
--- Leading the team to maintain the laundry facilities and guest areas in a safe and efficient manner, while establishing and enforcing policies that exceed brand standards.
--- Training staff to provide impeccable service and uphold the highest cleanliness standards is key to your role.
--- Being actively involved in the budgeting process and monitoring daily occupancy levels to optimize staff scheduling, control expenses, and drive profitability.
--- Acting as the Manager on Duty when needed, and being ready to support the team by pitching in during understaffed periods.

Responsibilities:
--- Develop and implement housekeeping procedures and policies to maintain cleanliness standards throughout the hotel.
--- Oversee recruitment, training, and performance evaluations of housekeeping staff to ensure high-quality service delivery.
--- Manage housekeeping budget and expenses effectively to meet financial goals while maintaining quality service.
--- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction.
--- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with cleanliness and safety standards.

Qualifications:
--- This role requires at least eight years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field, with at least four years in Housekeeping.
--- Must know how to effectively use computers and computer software, as well as the various pieces of equipment/tools used in housekeeping.
--- A high school diploma and relevant college coursework preferred.
--- Prior supervisory experience is required as well. Preferred experience managing multiple areas at once.
--- Physical requirements include the ability to perform medium work -- exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
--- This role requires the ability to stand for long periods of time and walk long distances, with the ability to kneel, bend, stretch, twist or reach with your body and arms, as well as the ability to work under variable temperatures and noise levels.
--- Must be able to move quickly and agilely if a situation requiring quick assistance arises. Long hours are sometimes required. Must be able to multi-task.
--- Must possess excellent communication skills - fluency in reading, writing and speaking English required.
--- Must have a flexible schedule availability.
