Mosaic Health is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse for our new School-Based Health Center in Rushville, NY. When school is not in session, the Medical Assistant/Patient Access Associate would work in our existing Mosaic Health Rushville Center location.Duties to include, but not limited to: supporting Pediatric Nurse Practitioner in the treatment of patient care; acting as a patient advocate protecting privacy and confidentiality issues; obtaining and documenting medical history from patient; documenting encounters and pertinent information such as vitals into the Electronic Health Record (EHR); performing in-house tests as ordered by the provider; rooming patients/disinfecting rooms as needed; taking vital signs; and prioritizing daily work to maintain a patient flow for provider. In addition, patient access tasks such as registering student patient information; verifying patient information by interviewing patient; reviewing and/or recording medical histor; and confirming purpose of visit or treatment.*Education/Experience: * High School Diploma or equivalent, plus completion of an accredited LPN training program New York State LPN license is required One year of related work experience in community medicine and/or New York State Article 28 environment preferred, however will train new graduates Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (may occur while employed in position) Experience with an electronic health record and/or an electronic case management record*Requirements:*- Valid New York State Drivers LicenseIn Fall 2023, Mosaic Health won a competitive grant process to establish a new school-based health center site. This new School Based Health Center at Marcus Whitman Middle/High School will offer medical, integrated behavioral health, and dental services to all students in the district.
