seeking a Full-Time Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our

network. We work with exotic pets as well as dogs and cats. Our
ideal candidate is passionate about animal care, highly motivated,
and pays attention to detail. Our Veterinary Technicians are the
heartbeat of our team and work side by side with our Veterinarians
(DVMs) during procedures. A full-time position would require
working between 30-40 hours a week, which includes a combination of
day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts. One weekend shift
required.Our Ideal Candidate:Is licensed in the state of New York
or has the ability to transfer their licenseHas a professional yet
upbeat demeanor, promoting a positive attitude among co-workersIs
dependable and reliableHas prior Veterinary experienceJob
Duties:Assisting veterinarians in the treatment of animals with
proficient technical skills including:RestraintRadiologyEmergency
proceduresSurgical and dental proceduresNursing careClient
EducationObtain laboratory samples as well as performing needed
testsAdminister and fill prescription medicationsAppropriately
maintain treatment room, including maintenance of equipment such as
anesthetic machines/monitors, x-ray machines, dental and
autoclaving equipment; ensures appropriate supplies are on hand in
the treatment room(s)Maintains professional demeanor at all
timesCourteous when performing client communications; including
client education and information through face-to-face, telephone,
or email communicationDemonstrates professional behavior and
maintains good rapport by respecting DVM's decisions, maintaining
professional interactions with the hospital team, and accurately
maintaining medical records as appropriateBe willing to guide,
mentor, and support fellow team membersJob Requirement:Associates
Degree in Veterinary Technology requiredValid New York State
Veterinary Technology licensePhysical Requirements:Must be able to
lift heavy pets and objects (up to 40lbs)Must be comfortable and
confident when handling large animals and exotic petsMust be able
to stand for long periods, and able to do some bending; squatting,
