Job Description:
TravelNurseSource is working with Pacer Staffing LLC to find a
qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Geneva, New York, 14456! Pay
Information $2,500 to $2,600 per week About The Position
Coordinates clinical activities throughout the acute care setting
on evening, night, weekend and holiday shifts. Provides clinical
leadership and assistance to Nurses in planning, organizing,
evaluating and delivering Nursing care to patients of all age
groups. Provides consultation to unit nursing staff in an effort to
ensure integration and consistency of services for patients and
families. Collaborates with Nurse Mangers, off site Clinical
Leaders and unit staff nurses to monitor staffing levels based on
identified patient acuities and adjusts staffing levels in
accordance with established policies, procedures and guidelines for
all shifts. Supports Nurses in managing emergency clinical and/or
administrative situations in accordance with established policies,
procedures, protocols and regulatory requirements. Facilitates the
competency assessment and staff development needs for Nursing staff
on shifts and weekends. Provides Nursing leadership support and
guidelines, to clinical staff through networking, mentoring,
excellent communication skills and role modeling the professional
practice of Nursing. Participates and collaborates in Nursing
Leadership committees, seminars and problem solving groups to
facilitate patient care delivery and the practice of Nursing. Job
Duties: -Creates an environment that supports professional
development of staff. Evaluates the quality and effectiveness of
healthcare delivery for assigned shifts. Provides professional
coaching and mentoring to staff. Provides clinical and leadership
expertise. For their assigned shifts, ensures staff accountability
for professional practice. Bases actions and decisions on ethical
principles. Demonstrates accountability for the environment in
which clinical Nursing is practiced. -Collaborates with Nursing
Leadership, Nursing staff, and other stakeholders to constructively
problem solve and create innovative resolutions. Responds to
customer complaints in a timely manner. Systematically evaluates
the quality and effectiveness of Nursing practice. Maintains
accountability for the clinical application of regulatory agency
standards, professional practice standards, The Nurse Practice Act
and clinical protocols. -Serves as a link between off shift/weekend
staff and Nursing leadership to promote positive patient outcomes.
Maintains effective processes for the dissemination of information.
Maintains a culture/climate of effective communication and
collegial relationships within the organization as well as the
healthcare community. Develops mechanisms to regularly communicate
with the Nurse Managers of each clinical area and other Nursing
leaders as necessary. -Applies sound decision making principles to
prioritize and balance patient care needs with competent,
appropriately skilled staff. Allocates/deploys available resources
to promote efficient, safe and compassionate Nursing care based on
current standards of practice. Identifies resources that assure
interventions are safe, effective, efficient and culturally
sensitive 27481017EXPTEMP Job Requirements Experience: 3 years
acute care experience as a Registered Nurse, and 1-year minimum
critical care experience - preferably ED - required, as well as
1-year leadership experience at the Charge Nurse level. Experience
with prioritizing multiple clinical events effectively. Strong
communication skills and ability to interact positively with
members of the health care team, physicians and general public. 5
