Consolidated Medical Travel is seeking a travel nurse RN DOU - Direct Observation Unit for a travel nursing job in Rochester, New York. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: DOU - Direct Observation Unit Discipline: RN Start Date: 08/04/2025 Duration: 26 weeks 48 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Travel D/E/N ROTATING SHIFT SCHEDULES Weekends/Holidays/On-Call/Callback/Charge per Unit Needs 26 week assignment ONLY for this REQ. Complete Description: Job Duties: The Observation unit cares for adult patients needing additional observation to determine if the patient's condition is serious enough for admission to the hospital or if the patient can be treated and released home safely. The Observation unit is a very fast paced environment that turns over 20 to 27 patients per day, with an average length of stay of 27 hours. The unit has 24/7 provider coverage. Care for a diverse adult population of both emergency observation and admitted boarding patients. These patients will range from short stay to full admissions. Job Requirements: - RN License (NY License ONLY) - Two (2 Years) Med/Surg/Telemetry Experience - ACLS, - BLS (American Heart Association ONLY) -NIHSS (Preferred), RN License (NY License ONLY) | REFERRAL BONUSES GIVEN
