Schedule Full time, 3x12s (7p-7a / 7a-7p) with EOW availability. Candidate must be open to working through the holiday season. Job Description The Registered Nurse applies knowledge of nursing theory, technical, and communication skills in delivering high-quality compassionate care to patients and families. The RN assesses patient needs, develops a plan of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, provides direct care, evaluates patient progress, and coordinates care delivery throughout the patient's episode. The Med/Surg RN develops specialized skills in the area of cardiac care including telemetry monitoring and promotes comfort and emotional support in a healing environment. Responsibilities Assess patient and family needs through active listening and observation. Create individualized plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team. Promote and advocate for patient health, safety, and rights. Educate patients and families on self-care post-hospitalization, emphasizing lifestyle changes. Document care provided and patient responses to education. Foster a collaborative team environment to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Maintain competencies and comply with infection prevention strategies.
