Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/30/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days, nights Employment Type: Travel Position: Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse Role Summary: The ED RN provides high-quality, compassionate care to patients of all ages and their families. This includes assessing urgent and emergent needs, prioritizing care, performing interventions, and evaluating outcomes. The nurse manages life-threatening and routine emergency situations, applying both technical and communication skills while addressing physiological, psychosocial, emotional, and cultural needs. Key Responsibilities: Conduct triage, establish rapport, and prioritize care per ESI standards Perform primary and secondary assessments, identify deviations, and initiate appropriate interventions Respond to patient condition changes and provide continuous reassessment Support patient/family through education, procedural prep, and discharge instructions Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, delegate tasks, and mentor staff Maintain patient safety, infection control, and compliance with protocols Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff; update ED communication boards Skills & Competencies: Life-threatening and routine emergency care Invasive and non-invasive procedures Patient/family education and support Team collaboration and delegation Critical thinking and rapid assessment Specialty: Emergency Department RN Note: Rate increase effective as of 10/22/2025.
