Job Title: Nursing Shift Supervisor Department: Long Term Care
Location: Clifton Springs Nursing Home Hours Per Week: 0 Schedule:
Per Diem, D/E/N SUMMARY: The Off Shift Director of Nursing is a
Nursing Leader who serves as a resource for problem solving,
provides clinical expertise, facilitates staff mentoring and
coaching, facilitates patient flow during the off shifts
(typically, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays) RESPONSIBILITIES:
RESPONSIBILITIES: · Oversees & assures short & long term Nursing
Dept. staff schedules per established guidelines. · Facilitates
units in emergency medical assessment & care of residents including
interventions, transportation & other resources needed. · Serves as
a clinical resource person to staff in problem solving,
assessments, special procedures & clinical skill enhancements. ·
Coordinates with the Nursing Staff resident units & admissions
dept. the rapid admission of residents including obtaining
evaluations as indicated. · Serves as adjunct to staff development
coordinator in promoting planned in-services to nursing staff as
per master schedule/plan. · Provides continuity of resident status
with hospital supervisory staff, and Nursing Administration. ·
Supervises the M.D.R. directing, interacting with residents,
families and staff in providing safe, pleasant mealtime and
assuring appropriate completion of required records. · Serves as
major facilitator in QA program for Nursing Dept. including
completion of assessments of designated audits & resultant actions
required. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: · Graduate of an accredited
registered nurse program · One to three years of nursing experience
required. · Registered in NYS as a registered nurse professional. .
Basic Life Support (BLS) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: · Bachelor’s
degree preferred. · LT PAC nursing experience preferred. · One year
of supervisory experience preferred. EDUCATION: LICENSES /
CERTIFICATIONS: BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart

York State Education Department (NYSED) PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M -
Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally,
and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than
negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects;
Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting. For disease
specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements
of the department for further specifications on experience and
educational expectations, including continuing education
requirements. Any physical requirements reported by a prospective

for accommodations. PAY RANGE: $40.50 - $53.30 CITY: Clifton
Springs POSTAL CODE: 14432 The listed base pay range is a good
faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful
full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible
for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors
including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal
