Job Title: Registered Nurse Department: Emergency Department Location: Clifton Springs Hospital Hours Per Week: 36 Schedule: Rotating Day/Evening/Night SUMMARY: The R.N. maintains quality patient care through consistent standards of nursing practice in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. Utilizes the nursing process: assess, diagnosis, plan, implement and evaluate to execute appropriate individual patient care. Responsible for orientation, training/precepting, and mentoring of other staff on the unit. The R.N. is instrumental in providing an exceptional experience for patient and family. RESPONSIBILITIES: Assessment - Perform initial and ongoing assessment of the patient; demonstrate exceptional clinical judgment and advanced assessment skills; communicate and document assessment with interdisciplinary team; utilize all available resources in order to meet the needs of the patient and family . Planning & Implementation - Develop and document plan of care, treatment and services; collaborate interdisciplinary health team to deliver care; maintains an appropriate nurse-patient relationship and provides an exceptional experience for the patient and family . Evaluation & Education - Evaluate, communicate and document patient responses to care; revise plan of care based on ongoing evaluations; ensure the patient receives and understands education/training specific to their needs and abilities . Training - Provide training for new team members on the unit; assume role of teacher for nursing students and other students shadowing on the unit; act as a resource for other team members for both clinical and non-clinical matters . REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing required. Registered Nurse license in New York State. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Minimum of 6 months experience as a registered nurse. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS : Bachelor’s of Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred EDUCATION: AS: Nursing (Required) LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA)American Heart Association (AHA)American Heart Association (AHA), RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)New York State Education Department (NYSED)New York State Education Department (NYSED) PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting. PAY RANGE: $38.22 - $50.96 CITY: Clifton Springs POSTAL CODE: 14432 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
