Job Description Job Description Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology, Certification in Radiologic Technology (ARRT), and 1 year of Cath Lab experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A specialized cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology lab technologist role is available, focusing on invasive cardiac procedures for cardiovascular diagnostics and interventions. This contract position is based in Fairport, NY, and primarily covers day shifts with occasional late hours and on-call duties on a 10-hour shift schedule. Key responsibilities include preparing the procedure environment by setting up sterile fields, supplies, instruments, and cardiovascular equipment. The role requires anticipating procedural needs, operating advanced equipment, and maintaining sterile instruments. Technologists will rotate among multiple procedural roles such as scrub, circulator, and the documenter/monitor to ensure seamless support throughout cardiac interventions. Strong organizational skills are essential. Desired qualifications and experience: - Minimum two years of Cath Lab Tech experience - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications - Radiologic Technologist (RT) credential or eligibility under NYS Public Health Law 2824 grandfather provisions - Hands-on experience in: - Right and Left Heart Hemodynamics - Cardiac interventions including CTO PCI, Pericardiocentesis - Vascular interventions such as RotoPro, LVADs, AngioVac, FlowTriever - Mechanical circulatory support devices like ECMO, Impella, IABP, ProtekDuo - Structural heart procedures including TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman, CardioMEMS, PFO, ASD, VSD, Valvuloplasty - Critical care or prior cardiac experience is required - Certification preferences include Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) or American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) About Fairport, NY:Fairport is a charming suburban community known for its scenic Erie Canal views and a vibrant local culture that balances small-town warmth with convenient access to metropolitan amenities.
