Holidays required Description: The RN must demonstrate the
knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the
age of the patients served on the assigned unit. The individual
must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and
development of the life span. The RN should possess the ability to
assess data reflective of the patient's status. The RN will
interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each
patient's requirements relative to age-specific needs. The RN will
provide care needed by adult and geriatric patient groups. The RN
will provide direct and indirect skilled nursing care for assigned
residents. The RN will follow defined policies and procedures under
the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The RN will maintain a
collaborative relationship with other nursing staff, physicians,
and ancillary staff. The RN will maintain an appropriate level of
knowledge and clinical expertise through continuing education and
in-service programs. The RN will have the ability to provide care
to geriatric residents. The RN will collect data relevant to
residents' physical and psychosocial condition on an ongoing basis.
The RN will communicate findings to the Supervisor and other
members of the Interdisciplinary Team. The RN will contribute to
the creation of a developmentally age-appropriate and culturally
relevant plan of resident care. The plan will reflect nursing
diagnosis and interventions to achieve desired resident outcomes.
The RN will involve the resident/family and the healthcare team in
this process while promoting a healthy and safe environment. The RN
will recommend revisions to the plan of care after evaluating
resident outcomes. The RN will indicate the need for referrals to
ensure all aspects of the resident's care have been addressed. The
RN will collaborate with the resident/family and members of the
Interdisciplinary Team. The RN will assure customer satisfaction
within the scope of nursing practice. The RN will maintain current
knowledge and competency in Nursing Practice. The RN will
participate in the mentoring and orientation of staff. The RN will
consider factors related to safety, cost, and impact in planning
the delivery of care. The RN will provide leadership in the
professional practice setting under the direction of the Nurse
Manager. Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is
reasonably anticipated. Required tasks involve a potential contact
