Registered Nurse (RN) | Long-Term Care Location: Penn Yan, NY Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,017 per week Shift Information: 3 days x 7 hours Contract Duration: 10 Weeks Start Date: 1/27/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Long-Term Care (LTC) Duration: 10 Weeks Shift: Part Time - Days and Nights as Scheduled Hours per Shift: Varies based on scheduling needs Experience: Minimum of 1 year as an RN in a Long-Term Care facility License: New York RN License Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) through AHA Must-Have: LTC experience, EOW and Holiday availability Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) will demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. The individual must possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed. The RN will provide direct and indirect skilled nursing care for assigned residents. Follows defined policies and procedures under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Maintains a collaborative relationship with other nursing staff, physicians, and ancillary staff. Maintains an appropriate level of knowledge and clinical expertise through continuing education and in-service programs. The RN will have the ability to provide care to geriatric residents. Collects data relevant to residents' physical and psychosocial condition on an ongoing basis. Communicates findings to the Supervisor and other members of the Interdisciplinary Team. Contributes to the creation of a culturally relevant plan of resident care reflecting nursing diagnosis and interventions. Involves the resident/family and healthcare team in the care planning process while promoting a healthy, safe environment. Recommends revisions to the plan of care after evaluating resident outcomes. Indicates the need for referrals to ensure all aspects of the resident's care have been addressed. Collaborates with the resident/family and members of the Interdisciplinary Team assuring customer satisfaction. Maintains current knowledge and competency in Nursing Practice. Participates in the mentoring/orientation of staff. Considers factors related to safety, cost, and impact in planning the delivery of care. Under the direction of the Nurse Manager, provides leadership in the professional practice setting. Demonstrates knowledge and competency in occupational exposure to blood-borne pathogens.
