Job Description & Requirements Specialty: ED - Emergency Department Discipline: RN Start Date: 01/19/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, rotating Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Acute Care Job Details: • Work ER day/night/weekend/holiday rotation schedule • 3 x 12-hour shifts plus 2 on-call shifts per 4-week period • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, Stroke Certification (must be AHA or RQI) • NYS RN Licensure required • Minimum two years acute hospital experience as an RN required • Minimum one year emergency department hospital experience as an RN required • Conduct primary and secondary patient assessments for all age groups • Perform triage using ESI standards and assign priority of care • Utilize invasive and non-invasive procedures and therapeutic interventions • Manage life-threatening and routine emergency situations • Assess physiological, psychosocial, emotional, and cultural needs of patients and families • Provide patient and family education for diagnostic procedures and discharge planning • Collaborate with healthcare team members to achieve optimal patient outcomes • Maintain infection prevention compliance and safety standards • Document patient care and communicate effectively with patients and families Facility: This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive emergency department providing high-quality compassionate care to patients and families.
