Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 02/02/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Med/Surg RN - Full Time (36 hours) - Nights Location New York Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule FT 3x12s - Nights (7:00pm - 7:30am) Every Other Weekend, Holidays 2 On-Call shifts per 4 weeks. Job Description The Registered Nurse applies knowledge of nursing theory, technical, and communication skills in delivering high-quality compassionate care to patients and families. The Registered Professional Nurse assesses patient need, develops a plan of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, provides direct care, evaluates patient progress, and coordinates care delivery throughout the patient’s episode. Responsibilities Applies nursing knowledge and skills in the delivery of care. Assesses patient/family needs through active listening and analyzing data. Creates individualized plans of care in collaboration with the healthcare team. Promotes and protects the health, safety, and rights of patients. Educates and motivates patients and families for continued care at home. Documents nursing practice and patient/family responses to education provided. Engages in self-evaluation and professional development to enhance nursing practice. Builds trusting relationships with patients and families to provide emotional support. Demonstrates skill in medication administration and managing patient care. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure NYS RN Licensure Required BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA or RQI only) Required One (1) year of experience in a Med/Surg environment as a Registered Nurse Required Why ARMStaffing?
