a qualified Psych RN in Rochester, New York, 14642! Job Title:
Level 1 Psychiatric Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse
Specialty: Psychiatric Nursing Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Rotating
Schedule (Days/Evenings/Nights, Holidays, On-Call, Callback, Charge
as needed) Hours per Shift: 12.0 Experience: Minimum 2 Years
License: New York Nursing License Required Certifications: - BLS
Certification (American Heart Association) Required - CPI
Certification Required (Blue card preferred, must have hands-on
training) Must-Have: - New York Nursing License - Two years of
nursing experience - BLS Certification (AHA) - CPI Certification
Description: Conduct intake assessments through interviews with
patients and relatives to gather case history. Plan and provide
nursing care for patients. Make nursing diagnoses of the medical
and emotional status of patients and recommend treatment options.
Consult with psychiatrists and other behavioral health staff in
designing appropriate treatment plans for clients. Administer and
note reactions to psychotropic drugs and other medications. Arrange
for further medical attention when necessary. Assist clients in
understanding the nature of emotional disturbances and accepting
the need for treatment. Assist in maintaining a safe and secure
environment for staff and patients. Test for vital signs of pain
and ensure treatments for pain are provided. Document all patient
information on medical charts and follow physician's written
orders. Maintain patient confidentiality. Maintain accurate records
and documentation of patient treatments, immunizations, and
laboratory results according to standard medical recordkeeping.
Perform administrative assignments such as filing, answering
phones, typing, and completing progress notes in the computer
system. Provide courteous, high-quality service to patients and
members of the public by personally responding to requests for
