Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Acute Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/19/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, flexible - Employment Type: Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse/n/n Assignment Duration/n This is a 13-week contract position. /n/nSchedule/n Minimum of 2 twelve-hour shifts per week for the first month. Orientation will occur on Monday and Tuesday. /n/nJob Description/n The Emergency Department Registered Nurse applies nursing theory, technical, and communication skills to provide high-quality compassionate care to patients and their families. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, identifying care priorities, and providing direct patient care. /n/nResponsibilities/n /n - Conducts triage and assesses patient needs. /n - Identifies urgent and emergent care priorities. /n - Implements appropriate interventions and evaluates patient progress. /n - Builds rapport with patients and families while providing updates on care. /n - Documents assessments and suspected cases of domestic violence or abuse. /n - Prepares patients and families for diagnostic procedures and treatments. /n - Provides education for continued care and healing post-visit. /n - Maintains awareness of patient needs throughout their stay. /n /n/nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure/n /n - Two years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with at least one year in an Emergency Department setting. /n - Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Stroke Certification (must be AHA or RQI). /n - Active New York State RN Licensure. /n /n/nWhy ARMStaffing?/n At ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
