Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/16/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: /n RN - Med Surg Orthopedic /n/n Job Details: /n • Work 36 or 48 hours per week with rotating day, evening, and night shift schedules /n• Float to different units as needed based on facility requirements /n• Work weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts per unit needs /n• Charge nurse responsibilities as assigned /n• Care for patients with orthopedic trauma, spinal surgery, and elective orthopedic surgical diagnoses /n• Must have 2 years of nursing experience /n• Orthopedic experience required /n• Telemetry experience and interpretation skills required /n• Required certifications: BLS (American Heart Association only) and ACLS /n• New York nursing license required (only NY licenses accepted) /n• Experience in Level 1 trauma facility preferred /n• Must demonstrate excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills /n• Ability to work effectively as a team player /n• Opportunities for education and professional growth available /n/n Facility: /n This major academic medical center operates a specialized orthopedic unit that focuses on trauma care, spinal surgery, and elective orthopedic procedures.
