Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Histology Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 03/16/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: /n Histotechnologist - Histotechnologist /n/n Job Details: /n • Work day shifts starting at either 5:30 AM or 6:00 AM /n• 13-week assignment with March 16th start date /n• Must comply with 100-mile radius rule /n• Bachelor of Science degree in medical technology, biology, and chemistry or HTL certification from recognized agency required /n• Histotechnician AAS NY State license required /n• Process, embed, cut and stain surgical and autopsy tissue specimens /n• Prepare and stain cytopathology specimens according to established policies and procedures /n• Prepare microscopic sections for diagnosis by Pathologist /n• Maintain proper documentation and supply/equipment management /n• Perform specialized, selective techniques required for diagnostic purposes /n• Participate in Quality Assurance program /n• Responsible for correct management of patient body tissue /n/n Facility: /n This healthcare facility has over a century of experience providing outstanding, compassionate, state-of-the-art medical care to families in the community.
