ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Rochester, New York. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/16/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, flexible - Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse - Observation Unit Location New York, NY Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule Days, Evenings, Nights, Rotating Shift Schedules, On Call, Call Back, Charge, Holidays, Weekends as needed. Job Description The Observation unit cares for adult patients needing additional observation to determine if the patient's condition is serious enough for admission to the hospital or if the patient can be treated and released home safely. The Observation unit is a very fast-paced environment that turns over 20 to 27 patients per day, with an average length of stay of 27 hours. The unit has 24/7 provider coverage and provides care for a diverse adult population of both emergency observation and admitted boarding patients. These patients will range from short stay to full admissions. Responsibilities - Provide nursing care for adult patients in the Observation unit. - Monitor patient conditions and assist in determining the need for admission or safe discharge. - Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care. - Manage multi patient assignments effectively in a fast-paced environment. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure - RN License (NY License ONLY) - Two (2) years of Med/Surg experience - Telemetry experience required - BLS (American Heart Association ONLY) certification required - NIHSS certification preferred Why ARMStaffing?
