Job Description Job Description Radiation Therapist (Local Contract) Location: Syracuse, NY Shift Information Shift: Day Schedule: Monday – Friday Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Shifts per Week: 5 Hours per Shift: 8 Job Description We are seeking an experienced Radiation Therapist for a local contract opportunity. This role is responsible for the accurate delivery of radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by the physician and in compliance with all departmental, state, and federal regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise with modern radiation therapy equipment and a patient-centered approach to care. Preferred Experience Experience with TrueBeam Experience with CT Simulation (CT Sim) Qualifications Graduation from an AAS or AMA–accredited Radiation Therapy program Registered Radiation Therapist (RRT) license New York State license 3–5 years of related experience preferred Must successfully pass pre-employment health clearance Key Responsibilities Deliver radiation therapy treatments in accordance with physician prescriptions and regulatory guidelines Operate and maintain high-voltage, state-of-the-art radiation therapy equipment while adhering to safety standards Coordinate and schedule patient treatment appointments Interpret treatment prescriptions and accurately deliver prescribed radiation doses Prepare and operate radiotherapy equipment, including: Linear Accelerators Simulators Co-60 units (as applicable) Obtain radiographic images to confirm treatment fields and volumes Perform pretreatment simulation procedures, including: Tumor localization Contour acquisition Collection of physical factors for treatment planning Take patient photographs for portal verification Monitor patients for radiation reactions and provide appropriate care and education Ensure all patient safety measures are followed at all times Maintain accurate treatment records, documentation, and port films Ensure compliance with departmental, institutional, and regulatory policies Participate in departmental in-service training and educational programs Coordinate departmental and inpatient activities to support optimal patient care For more details reach at Aditi.sharma@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 516-587-6677 .
