Operating Room Job Summary: We are recruiting for registered
nursing candidates to be an operating room circulating nurse for a
surgical center. Our client's culture supports great teamwork,

and will have your weekends free! This is an hourly position and
are paid overtime if your day exceeds 8 hours. The RN in the
Operating Room area will provide optimum patient care based on
assessment of patient's physical and psychosocial needs. They are
responsible for planning and implementation of the patient's plan
of care, communication with other team members and evaluations of
the effectiveness of this care. They will provide a positive and
professional atmosphere so as to enhance the patient's surgical
experience and provide for the smooth functioning of the surgery
center. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Implement physician orders.
Perform Operating Room area duties as assigned. Provide for proper
procurement and care of equipment and supplies. Assist with
orientation, incidental teaching, and supervision of professional
and non-professional personnel. Maintain a continuing awareness of
individual patient needs, both physical and psychosocial, and
strive to meet these needs. Function as a charge nurse as
requested. Interpret and communicate information accurately. Assume
responsibility for professional growth and development by
participating in continuing education programs and by helping to
initiate such programs as necessary and participate in mandatory
in-services. Adhere to the ASC’s Policies and Procedures. Perform
other duties as necessary to assure the smooth function of the ASC.
Assist in various areas of the surgery center under supervision as
necessary. Complete special assignments as indicated and necessary
for the smooth functioning of the ASC. Able to assist in other
areas as needed, i.e. PACU, Purchasing, etc. in each of the ASC’s.
Works late as assigned in advance. Uses safe work practices. Is
flexible with own schedule. GENERAL EXPECTATIONS: Effectively

both verbally and in writing with co-workers. Capable of working

EDUCATION: Currently registered to practice professional nursing in
York State. Bachelor of Science degree encouraged. Previous 3-5
years of Operating Room experience desirable. PHYSICAL/PERSONAL
QUALIFICATIONS : Standing and walking for long periods (up to 8–10
hours). Ability to lift, move, or position patients and equipment
(25–50 lbs). Frequent bending, reaching, and assisting with patient
transfers. Ability to respond quickly in urgent or emergent
situations. Clear vision and hearing to monitor patients and
surgical environment. Fine motor skills for handling instruments,
equipment, and documentation. Ability to wear PPE for extended
periods (masks, gowns, gloves, lead aprons). Exposure to bodily
fluids, chemicals, and surgical equipment. Other Job Titles: OR RN,
