Experience: One (1) Year Experience serving in Med/Surg Environment
as a Registered Nurse License: RN Licensure Required
Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Ability to deliver

Description: The Registered Nurse applies knowledge of nursing
theory, technical, and communication skills in delivering
high-quality compassionate care. The RN assesses patient needs and
develops a plan of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary
team. The RN provides direct care, evaluates patient progress, and
coordinates care delivery throughout the patient’s episode. The
Med/Surg RN develops specialized skills in the area of cardiac
care, including telemetry monitoring. The RN is accountable for
patient and family education to assist in understanding self-care
beyond hospitalization. He/She promotes comfort and provides
emotional support in a healing environment. Applies nursing
knowledge and skills by assessing patient and family needs. Uses
active listening and social perceptiveness to understand patient
reactions. Creates a developmentally and culturally relevant
individualized plan of care. In collaboration with the patient,
family, and healthcare team members, sets goals and monitors
progress. Adjusts the plan based on patient response or changes in
condition. Promotes, advocates for, and protects the health,
safety, and rights of the patient. Systematically evaluates the
quality and effectiveness of nursing practice. Uses results of
quality improvement activities to initiate changes in nursing
