Histo Tech Location: Watertown, NY Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,466 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/23/2026 About the Position Job Title: Histotechnician Profession: Healthcare Specialty: Histology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: Bachelor of Science in medical technology, biology, or chemistry. HTL certification from a recognized agency. License: Histotechnician AAS NY State license required. Certifications: HTL certification preferred. Must-Have: Responsible for processing, embedding, cutting, and staining surgical and autopsy tissue. Responsible for preparation and staining of cytopathology specimens according to established policies and procedures. Description: Qualified candidate will assume responsibility for the processing of surgical and autopsy tissue. The candidate will embed, cut, and stain tissue samples for analysis. The candidate will prepare and stain cytopathology specimens. Responsibilities include correct management of patient's body tissue. The candidate will prepare microscopic sections for diagnosis by Pathologist. Documentation and maintenance of supplies and equipment are required. The Histotechnician will perform specialized techniques for diagnostic purposes. Participation in the Quality Assurance program is expected.
