with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in
Rochester, New York, 14626! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession:
Nursing Specialty: Medical/Surgical Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year
in Medical/Surgical Telemetry License: New York nursing license
required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - MS/Tele experience
- Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias - Use of Rapid
Response Teams - Peripheral line care and management - Non-invasive
airway management - Isolation precautions Description: BLS
certification is required. MS/Tele experience is required. The unit
manages patient diagnoses such as cardiac disease, stroke,
infection, and pain. Day/evening ratios are 5 to 1 (with a stretch
to 6-7). Night ratios are expected to be 6-7 to 1 (stretching to
8-10 if staff calls in). Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) handle
vital signs, blood glucose checks, EKGs, and activities of daily
living. An in-house phlebotomy team performs all peripheral lab
draws. Nursing staff is responsible for managing PICC lines and
central lines. Special equipment used includes bladder scanners,
telemetry monitors, EKG machines, and life packs. Staff may be
required to float to Medical-Surgical, Emergency Department,
Intensive Care Unit (stable patients), and acute brain injury units
(stable patients). All travelers are required to float. Every other
weekend is required. Experience with the EPIC charting system is
preferred. Candidates must possess strong clinical skills relevant
to the specialty. Interdisciplinary support includes IV Teams,
Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, and
Social Services. Please note that candidates should not have more
than 10 days of requested time off. Candidates must reside more
