product administration Description: Seeking a step-down registered
nurse with recent experience in a critical care stepdown unit.
Candidates must have one year of step-down experience. Post-cardiac
catheterization experience is preferred. 36 hours guaranteed per
week. Every other weekend and holiday scheduling required. No
blocked scheduling available. Local candidates may be considered
for a lower bill rate. Patient population includes adults and
geriatrics. Common diagnoses include congestive heart failure,
post-heart catheterization care, and respiratory failure. Nurses
will be responsible for monitoring cardiac dysrhythmias. Unit
procedures include post-heart catheter care and frequent vital sign
and neurovascular checks. Key required skills include cardiac
telemetry, management of dysrhythmias, and procedural sedation
monitoring. Nurses will assist with chest tube management and
demonstrate understanding of infection prevention protocols.
Phlebotomy skills are also important. The unit offers
interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory
services, and social services. It is essential for candidates to
manage and administer medications, including emergency medications
and cardiac drips. The nursing staff will engage in continuous
monitoring and assessment of patient conditions. Candidates must be
adept in providing high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with charting systems is required. Previous charge
