Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/13/2026 - Duration: 14 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, rotating - Employment Type: Travel Acute Med/Surg Registered Nurse - Full Time/n/n Location/n New York /n/nAssignment Duration/n This is a 13-week contract position. /n/nSchedule/n Full Time 3x12s - day/night shift variable - scheduled as needed by the client with rotations including weekends and holidays. /n/nJob Description/n The Registered Nurse applies knowledge of nursing theory, technical, and communication skills in delivering high-quality compassionate care to patients and families. The RN assesses patient needs, develops a plan of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, provides direct care, evaluates patient progress, and coordinates care delivery throughout the patient’s episode. The Med/Surg RN develops specialized skills in the area of cardiac care, including telemetry monitoring. /n/nResponsibilities/n /n - Assess patient and family needs through active listening, social perceptiveness, and analyzing data. /n - Create individualized plans of care in collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team. /n - Promote and protect the health, safety, and rights of patients. /n - Evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice and implement necessary changes. /n - Educate patients and families on self-care and lifestyle changes necessary for health and healing. /n - Foster teamwork and cooperation among healthcare team members. /n - Comply with infection prevention strategies and report safety risks. /n - Engage with patients/families to create a meaningful connection, focusing on their needs. /n /n/nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure/n /n - NYS RN Licensure Required /n - Certifications: BLS, ACLS /n - One (1) year of experience in a Med/Surg environment as a Registered Nurse required. /n /n/nWhy ARMStaffing?/n At ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
