Job Description We are currently seeking a Board-Certified Pathologist for an exciting Locum to Perm opportunity in Syracuse, New York. This is a great opportunity to work in a well-supported hospital pathology lab with a collaborative team and modern equipment. Location Syracuse, New York Position Details - Specialty: Pathology - Position Type: Locum to Permanent - Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM - Call: No call required - Coverage Duration: 3–6 months with potential for permanent placement - Credentialing Time: ~40–45 days Practice Setting Hospital-based pathology laboratory with an established and supportive team: - 4 Pathologists - 5 Histotechnologists - 1 Pathology Assistant - 2 Cytotechnologists Case Volume - ~13,000 surgical pathology specimens annually - ~3,000 cytology specimens annually Responsibilities - General Anatomic Pathology - Surgical Pathology - Cytology - Frozen Section Analysis - Grossing specimens and performing frozen sections when required - Collaborating with other physicians and lab professionals ? Equipment & Systems - ThinPrep Integrated Imager (Hologic) - Cryostat – Avantik QS Series - Microscopes – Nikon & Olympus - EMR: Epic / Beaker ?
