Registered Respiratory Therapist Location: Newark, NY Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,164 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/27/2026 About the Position Job Title: Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (18:30 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required License: Must have an active license in hand Certifications: BLS, RRT Must-Have: - Adult Critical Care experience - Emergency Department experience - Strong skills in intubation and extubation - Experience in tracheostomy care and management - Competency in high flow nasal cannula and ventilator management Description: We are seeking a qualified Respiratory Therapist for a night shift position. The contract length is for 13 weeks. The primary responsibilities include adult critical care and emergency services. The ideal candidate should be proficient with intubation, extubation, and airway management. Experience with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), congestive heart failure (CHF), pneumonia, and respiratory failure is essential. Candidates will be floating between long-term care and acute care settings as needed. Weekend coverage is expected every other weekend, totaling six shifts over the 13-week contract. Interdisciplinary support will be available, including therapy and respiratory services. The environment will require troubleshooting high-pressure alarms and weaning from mechanical ventilation. An understanding of ETT, NT suctioning, and sputum specimen collection is necessary. Applications from those with long-term care, LTAC, and trauma care experience are preferred.
