Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit Level II for a travel nursing job in Rochester, New York. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/13/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours - Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: /n RN - ICU Stepdown /n/n Job Details: /n • Work rotating day/evening/night shifts including weekends and holidays /n• On-call and callback responsibilities as needed /n• Charge nurse responsibilities per unit needs /n• Must have stepdown/PCU experience required /n• High acuity stroke and neurosurgery experience required /n• Two years of nursing experience required /n• Required certifications: BLS (American Heart Association), Telemetry experience /n• Preferred certifications: ACLS (American Heart Association), NIHSS /n• New York RN license required (only NY licenses accepted) /n• Experience required with Q1 neuro checks, EVDs, lumbar drains, sub-dural drains /n• Must be competent with 3% normal saline and cardene drips, arterial lines /n• Experience with carotid endarterectomy, aneurysm coil/clips, DBS insertion procedures /n• Knowledge of VP shunts and seizure management required /n• May serve as preceptor and committee member /n• Provide competent care based on established standards under nurse manager direction /n/n Facility: /n This major academic medical center is a leading healthcare institution that emphasizes clinical practice excellence, professional development, and evidence-based research.
