We are currently recruiting on an Information Security Analyst job in Rochester, NY.
 
Summary:
The Information Security Analyst will aid in the facilitation and audit evidence collection of SOX control activities, establish and support a collaborative work environment, and develop Information Security process documentation. Areas of documentation include, but may not be limited to; compliance requirements, system access management and service and change management. The position reports to the Information Technology Security Manager. The person filling this role will need to be proactive, have a basic understanding of IS terminology, concepts, and practices and supporting processes and work with limited supervision.
 
Key Responsibilities for the Information Security Analyst job include:
•  Familiar with Sarbanes Oxley, SSAE16, and IT general computer controls. This includes an understanding of access management, data center operations, change management, and application operations
•  On a set frequency, be responsible for initiating specific control activities, monitoring performance and communicating issues to Management
•  Reviews and analyzes audit evidence for issues. Works with IT teams to ensure the correct, expected evidence is generated timely
•  Perform data collection activities that support audit control activities
•  Perform data quality assurance activities over the completeness and accuracy of data queries used for audit evidence
•  Attend meetings to perform documentation over audit system discovery discussions
•  Execute work programs to evaluate and test controls operating effectiveness
•  Under guidance of Manager, focus on Information Security Risk and Compliance, work closely with SOX control performers to help identify, recommend and develop processes that support the effective design and operation of controls
•  Perform testing of audit and governance tools used by the Firm
•  Document audit support procedures and process flows when needed
•  Assisting management with meeting coordination, follow-up, presentations and documentation
•  Provides training to employees on control processes and documentation
 
Qualifications for the Information Security Analyst job include:
• Bachelor’s degree required, with a strong record and evidence of academic achievement...SAT and GPA.
•  1 - 2 years technical audit experience, preferably in the financial services industry
•  Basic understanding of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002, COSO framework, and COBIT framework
•  Strong analytical, writing, and problem solving skills
•  Ability to multi-task and shift priorities as required
•  Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail
