Join System Freight, Inc., a leader in direct-to-store deliveries and fleet outsourcing services, specializing in the Northeastern United States. We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced CDL-A driver to enhance our transportation efforts and promote efficient service delivery to our valued clients. As a vital member of our team, you will play a critical role in maintaining the punctuality and reliability that our clients expect, operating primarily within local routes that let you return home daily. Safely operate a tractor-trailer/truck to deliver goods to customers’ locations on time, following all rules of the road and representing the company with professionalism. Perform daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure optimal vehicle safety. Follow routes and schedules as determined by the dispatch team. Manage documentation related to dispatch, route sheets, time sheets, and vehicle maintenance records. Report any incidents or accidents immediately to management. Maintain communication with dispatch to report delays, unsafe sites, accidents, equipment breakdowns, or other transportation issues. Participate in routine training and safety meetings. Proven skills in operating a commercial vehicle safely and efficiently. Knowledge of local routes and traffic patterns. Ability to maintain accurate logs and records. Strong communication and time management skills. Mechanical aptitude to manage minor repairs on the road.
