Responsibilities

• 
  Determine the cause of electrical and/or mechanical breakdowns on assigned manufacturing equipment and return equipment to proper operating order in minimum time.
  
  
• 
  Ensure assigned equipment is performing effectively and efficiently.
  
  
• 
  Develop, train and help direct the Extrusion Maintenance team.
  
  
• 
  Order spare parts, replacement parts and other materials required to maintain safe operation.
  
  
• 
  Analyze and document repetitive equipment failures. Work to determine root causes.
  
  
• 
  Coordinate and execute installations of new equipment and equipment modifications.
  
  
• 
  Establish and monitor critical equipment conditions and determine appropriate monitoring systems.
  
  
• 
  Conduct studies and submit recommendations for efficient utilization of equipment.
  
  
• 
  Apply scheduling and project management principles to replacement programs.
  
  
• 
  Perform other duties as assigned.
  
  
  Qualifications
  
  • 
    
  • 
    3-5 years industrial electrical/mechanical maintenance or relative experience
    
    
  • 
    Must have good theoretical and applied understanding of electrical theory, mechanical theory and the manufacturing process.
    
    
  • 
    Able to lead, coach, guide and teach trouble-shooting and electrical/mechanical knowledge to lesser skilled maintenance co-workers.
    
    
  • 
    Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task.
    
    
  • 
    Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision.
    
    
  • 
    Maintain positive relations with vendors, contractors, and internal/external customers.
    
    
  • 
    Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Project, JDE, Maintenance Connection.
    
    
  • 
    Understanding of preventative maintenance theory and practices.
    
    
  • 
    Basic CAD skills and able to read blueprints/schematics.
    
    
  • 
    Excellent verbal and written skills
    
    
  • 
    Willing to be available "on call"
    
    
  • 
    Capable of, and commit to follow the plant and departmental safety procedures, food safety guidelines and ISO procedure
    
    
  • 
    Continuous learning will be expected
    
    
  • 
    Able to work overtime as required
