Job Description:
Job Title: Housing Case Manager Location: Finger Lakes Region,
NY Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary: FLACRA is seeking a
compassionate and dedicated Housing Case Manager to assist program
participants in securing and maintaining stable housing while
helping them achieve financial independence. This role involves
providing case management, vocational counseling, and support to
clients as they work towards housing stability. The Housing Case
Manager plays a key role in guiding participants through the
housing process, building relationships with landlords, and
ensuring compliance with housing regulations. As a Housing Care
Manager, your primary role will be to support clients in
maintaining stable housing and enhancing their overall well-being.
This involves conducting home visits to assess living conditions,
offering guidance, and assisting with tasks such as budgeting, home
upkeep, and accessing available resources. This position requires
the use of your personal vehicle for travel to clients' residences
for meetings and check-ins. In some cases, you may also need to
provide transportation for clients to appointments, shopping, or
other essential outings based on their individual needs. Success in
this role requires a compassionate and proactive approach, ensuring
clients receive the necessary support and tools to sustain their
housing and live independently. Must-Have Qualifications & Skills:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Valid NYS Driver’s License.
At least one year of experience in vocational counseling.
Experience working in a behavioral healthcare setting. Strong
written and verbal communication skills. Ability to multitask
effectively. Ability to remain composed and professional in
challenging situations. Nice-to-Have Qualifications: Associate’s
Degree or higher in Health or Human Services. 2 years of experience
working in Behavioral Health. Experience in crisis management.
