Job Description Job Description Description: Science Academy of New York Charter School is excited to announce the opening of a District Speech Language Pathologist for the 2025-2026 Academic Year. Key Responsibilities: • Assess and diagnose speech, language, cognitive-communication disorders in students • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students with communication disorders • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions • Maintain accurate and detailed records of student progress and interventions • Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of IEPs • Provide guidance and resources to families to support communication development at home • Stay current with best practices and research in speech-language pathology • Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations regarding special education services Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required; Master's degree preferred NYS Certification Fingerprint clearance through NYS Department of Education Here at SANY we offer: Excellent benefits package including medical, dental, vision, long-term disability, employee assistance program and more!
